“A Taste of France” Fundraiser
ILA’s first Taste of France, a wine, food, and music event, took place on Saturday evening, November 3rd, at the Oswego Pointe Clubhouse. Over 130 guests attended ILA’s first big bash, including Mayor and Mrs. Jack Hoffman. Mayor Hoffman, a valued friend of ILA ever since we opened in Lake Oswego, was our Guest of Honor for the evening.
Wines from five local vintners were presented; French Chef Christophe Preyale had prepared a delectable variety of haute cuisine munchies to pair with these wines. Pastries and baguettes from La Provence were also on hand. The highlight of the evening was a bravura performance by soprano Cassondra Morrison. Accompagnied by pianist Rosana Lazar, she sang Si mes vers avaient des ailes by R. Hahn, Ah! Je veux vivre from Gounod’s “Romeo and Juliette” , and Habenera from Bizet’s “Carmen.
By all accounts, the evening was a great success; we anticipate making a Taste of France an annual event.
