There were rockets flying, boats floating and slime oozing at the ILA Science and Engineering family fun night. The kids enjoyed many different hands on experiments where they learned the how and why of things.
One of the children’s favorite was a stomp rocket. The children made their own rocket and by the force of air saw how far it would fly and why. Another popular table was the Slime. A substance that looked ooey and gooey but when touched it actually wasn’t. Hmmm, how did they do that?
Other tables included, animal catapults (stuffed animals of course:), helicopter making and boat making.
Both the children and adults had fun making things fly, float, and ooze.
We hope to do it again next year.
