DESCRIPTION: In after school care, we want to make sure that our students have the resources to be successful in school every single day. The last thing we would want is to have children come home for dinner from aftercare and tell their parents that they have homework. Our staff is ready and able to help any child with their homework. The program will also include other academic boosting activities and tutoring.

CLASS DAYS: Mondays, 3:30-4:30pm

We have a brand new, very exciting robotics program for you coming up in January.  The robotics program has a brand-new look. Cameron, our newest addition to ILA, is very passionate about robotics and will be running this incredible program. 

Dive into the exciting world of robotics with our engaging and hands-on weekly class designed for young innovators. Every week, students will explore the fundamentals of robotics, coding, and engineering through fun and interactive projects. From building their own robots to programming them to complete various tasks, this class offers a unique opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. INSTRUCTOR: Bayel Sarr

AGES: 4-9

COST: $25/ Class

This class offers an exciting way to learn African drumming! Bayel is passionate about drumming and wants to share his love of music with our students. Drummers will learn about rhythm and beats while also discovering all the different ways you can hit a drum to produce a different sound.  Students will play fun games with Bayel like “Rhythm Master” and “Follow the beat” which are very engaging. This kind of drumming is great for promoting motor skills and coordination.

Our very own English teacher, Teacher Scott, will be our new after school guitar teacher! Scott has always had a passion for music. Scott often brings his guitar to his English at ILA to play and sing songs with the students. This class will offer an exciting and fun way to learn the guitar.
