Beatriz Ruiz, known as Betty, was born in Huacho, Lima, Peru, and moved to the U.S. in 2003.

She graduated in Language and Literature from José F. Sánchez Carrión University and taught language for over a decade in Lima before joining ILA. Betty has been teaching Spanish to children at ILA for three years. She has been creating an engaging cultural classroom environment.
