Michael Johnson’s passion for education and language learning began while studying abroad in Paris, where he taught English to French toddlers.

A California State University, Sacramento graduate with a Bachelor’s in French and a minor in International Relations, Michael moved to Portland to pursue his interests in French language and early childhood education. He is graduating this year with a Master’s degree in Education.

With two years of experience in management and people development, Michael emphasizes structured conversational French lessons at ILA. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, running, karaoke, and participating in Portland’s art and drag communities.
